call for submissions

there are many narratives telling us how we got here.
there are many authorities selling us what to believe…
there are many reasons why the world is as it appears:
tripping fearfully towards a future it’s unwilling to receive

there are many faces to the same truth
there are many sides to the same tale
the rawest grace resides within youth
whose souls are not yet burdened by age's scales
their eyes not crusted over like compromised minds
their lives not yet polluted by what they’ve left behind

in this world,
fragmented & polarized,
the slow torture of entire populations is televised
i ask you to revise your worldview
& in return I will clue you into
the ancient scriptures & lost histories of Fu
& his strange collection of friends
we must sometimes look backwards
as the present descends

so tell me your story
& I’ll tell you mine
in nine minutes and eleven seconds
an exercise in intelligent design
spell out your civilization and its current pose
tell me about your nations’ allies and foes
what exactly is it that you actually know?
show me how your rhythms flow
what grievances do you carry?
who are you expected to marry?
are your people at war?
what is it you’re fighting for?
tell me why
testify
& together we’ll identify
the truth within the lies

there is a world beyond
beyond
beyond this paranoid theater of the absurd called America
a whisper we must write into being for it to be real
& this is where the next texts must be revealed
online
chronicling time
in sonic sessions
we achieve ascension
rising above the fray of the mainstream
simulcasting a collective dream
until we start tapping into the source
instead of getting milked by the machine
we are a network with a revolutionary party line
a nation of bass fiends & beat junkies
high on glitch-on-glitch crime
old souls with agendas and axes to grind
scribbling scripts forward to rewind your mind
unfolding spells with laptop fingers on cramped hands
pushing forward till the planet can't help but understand:
in this digital landscape subversion starts with a webcam
& the future belongs to those of us with the deepest RAM
